Families Moving Forward (FMF)
Training and Information Session

Families Moving Forward hosting week is almost here! Join us for a special training/information session to learn more about the program and how you can help.
The Families Moving Forward effort involves many Twin Cities area faith communities that house several families without housing for one-week time periods. Volunteers are needed to provide or serve meals, set-up/take down sleeping areas, and to serve as evening and overnight hosts. To volunteer, contact Julia 612.317.3413.

Habitat for Humanity 2011
Thank you to all who helped with the 2010 Habitat for Humanity build on the northside! The date and site for our 2011 build will be posted in the spring. There are many ways to get involved. Exploring A PARTNERSHIP:
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL AND COMMON BOND
The Basilica St. Vincent de Paul and CommonBond Communities are exploring a partnership! CommonBond provides homes, hope and community to 8,000 people including families, seniors and people with special needs who have low incomes. A hallmark of CommonBond is on-site services: with community partners, they provide pre-k readiness, youth mentoring, campfire clubs, teen programs, adult career and employment programs, health, and more.
The Basilica and CommonBond are developing a plan to work together to provide supportive housing on the northside of Minneapolis. This partnership is made possible by the 10% tithing from the Capital Campaign of the Friends of The Basilica, now known as The Basilica Landmark. Learn about this partnership, and how you can help.
