Racial Reconciliation

Imago Dei: Basilica Initiative on Racial Reconciliation

As one of the most racially diverse institutions on the planet, and given its theology of the inherent dignity of every human person, Catholicism opposes racial discrimination and violence in the most unambiguous terms.

Given the ongoing revolution of tenderness and mercy encouraged by Pope Francis, and in response to the recent events in the United States, the Basilica will devote its Lenten Series to racial reconciliation.
