Music and Masqueray: The Basilica Muse

Basilica organist Christopher Stroh will present a recital musically paying homage to the 100th Anniversary of  the Franco-American architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray’s 1917 death. 

The program will include French organ works influential during the life and times Masqueray, The Basilica’s architect, as well as works composed by current and previous Basilica organists (or their teachers!). 

The recital is free and open to the public. 
Free-will donations will be gratefully received.

Christopher Stroh has been the organist of The Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis since September 2006. Before joining The Basilica’s staff, Christopher served as organ scholar at The Cathedral of Saint Paul while finishing his M.A. in Organ and Sacred Music at Saint John’s University. Christopher participates in the American Guild of Organists, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians,and the Conference of Roman Catholic Cathedral Musicians. He regularly appears in recital and has been aired on MPR’s program Pipedreams.
