My Soul Cries Out: 500 Years of Singing
St. Olaf Choir and The Basilica Cathedral Choir

Saturday, October 28, 8:00pm, Basilica

The Cathedral Choir of The Basilica of Saint Mary, Teri Larson, conductor, The St. Olaf Choir, Anton Armstrong, conductor, along with organists, John Ferguson and Christopher Stroh, and The Basilica Brass ensemble, will unite to observe the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

The concert will move through 3 segments—Our souls cry out from age to age, in trouble and distress, and in hope. In word and song, the choirs will join with those gathered in singing hymns shared by our common faith, and the choirs will perform selections featuring composers F. Melius Christiansen, Kenneth Jennings, Abbie Betinis, Donald Krubsack, Zach Westermeyer and Ralph Manuel, among others. Renowned organists, John Ferguson and Christopher Stroh will lead the community in song.

Guest presiders include Bishop Reverend Ann Sveninngsun,  Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).

Concert free of charge.
