What is Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and how do I know if I have it?

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a psychiatric disorder that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event such as a natural disaster, a serious accident, a terrorist act, rape, or other violent personal assault. It is important to be able to identify the symptoms which is the first step in getting the support and professional help needed.
Presentation by Karen L. Eckstrom, MSW, LICSW. Karen received her graduate training from the University of Minnesota. She has over 25 years of clinical experience treating a range of psychiatric disorders, and currently is the owner and clinical director of Edina Comfort Care Counseling Clinic.
