On the grounds of the historic Basilica of Saint Mary
From the ateliers of Paris to 5th Avenue landmarks in New York City to our beloved place of worship,
renowned architect Emmanuel Louis Masqueray designed in a perfect balance of elegance and reverence.
On this special evening, we will raise a glass in his honor, and join together to preserve the bell towers
that speak so eloquently of Masqueray’s artistry.
Join us for a Spirited Night raising funds to restore the towers that house our beloved bells, ensuring they
ring true for generations to come.
The event is almost sold out. If you are interested in attending please contact Mgustafson@mary.org or 612-317-3428.
The iconic 133-foot twin towers of The Basilica of Saint Mary house 6 bells, each named after a blessed saint. The bells were made in an age-old process using a carefully crafted mold filled with molten bronze; once the bronze has cooled and set, a precise process of shaving small amounts of metal fine-tunes each bell to create the crystal-clear tones that resonate across our city.
