Join the Minnesota Catholic Conference, the University of St. Thomas Center for Catholic Studies, and The Basilica of Saint Mary for an engaging, thought-provoking viewing and discussion of the 2014 documentary film, Inequality for All. The film explores economic inequality and the widening income gap in the U.S.
- How is the economy affecting you? How is it affecting your neighbor? What is at the heart of the economic problems the U.S. has been experiencing for the last 30 years? What solutions should we be seeking to address it? Is it even a “problem” that has a solution?
- Most of us continue to defer to our political parties or deeply embedded partisan ideologies for answers, and yet nothing seems to really change. What can our faith tradition add to this discussion, and where might it take us, and our country, for answers?
Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Naughton, professors at the University of St. Thomas, will provide a foundational talk on Catholic Social Teaching, and lead a conversation about tangible ways to respond.
This event is free and open to the public. Please register so we may plan accordingly.
