Prisoners or Patients?

Sunday, January 27, 2019 - 9:30am to 12:00pm

Saint Teresa of Calcutta Hall, Lower Level

In order to prevent initial and recurring stays in prison and jail for people with mental illnesses, we need to provide mental health care in prisons and jails and have a robust mental health system that provides early identification and treatment.  In addition, a plan for transitioning from jail or prison must address the need for basic items such as housing, food, medications, health care, and substance abuse support upon release.

Stop by the table after Mass to learn ways to prevent prison stays for people with mental illnesses. Speak to parishioners advocating for a compassionate & just mental health system.
