The Together In Hope Choir, an ecumenical, professional-caliber ensemble of 60 voices brings a message of healing and Christian reconciliation. Directed by Mark Stover of the University of Michigan and Teri Larson of The Basilica of Saint Mary, the Choir will be accompanied by members of the St. Olaf College Orchestra.
The evening will include a shared ecumenical message from Archbishop Bernard Hebda of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and Bishop Ann Svennungsen of the Minneapolis Area Synod of Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
The Together In Hope Choir opened the 17th International Festival of Sacred Music and Art in Rome, Italy, on the 501st anniversary of the Reformation, October 31, 2018, where they performed the world-premiere of So That the World May Believe: A Motet for Unity and Service and the European premiere of Holy Spirit Mass, both pieces by brilliant Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen.
Founded by Gary Aamodt and Celia Ellingson, the Together In Hope Project’s mission is to advance healing and reconciliation through the transformative power of music.
