Plan a Tour

You’re sure to find something to inspire during your visit to America’s first Basilica

The Basilica currently Sunday Mass at 9:30 am, 11:30 am and 5:00pm and weekday Mass at 7:00 am and 12 noon. Otherwise public access to the church building is limited in an abundance of caution.  Please contact our staff for assistance. 

We will continue to livestream Mass Monday - Friday at noon and Sunday at 9:30 and 5:00pm am via Facebook live at facebook.com/BasilicaMpls. Masses will be posted to our website shortly after Mass concludes.

Self-guided tours

Discover The Basilica and its history on your own using a detailed tour guide. You’ll find them in the back of the church.

Your time is precious to us. If you plan to tour, please contact The Basilica so we know you are coming. In event, that the availability of the church changes, we can inform you so that you can make other arrangements to tour.  

Docent-led tours

Free tours are available year-round (except holidays and Holy Week).
  Freewill donations accepted.

  • Sundays: Tours are available after the 9:30am and 11:30am Mass.
  • Weekdays: Group tours are available by calling 612.333.3410 or submitting a request online here.
  • Note: No tours on Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday.
