Basilica Voices:

Meet Balcola Kanneh, the parish member who was baptized at our Easter Vigil in April 2022. From Liberia to the US to The Basilica, God has guided his lifelong journey to find a spiritual home.

 

Emmaus and Listening volunteer Sarah Sutliff shares how the "Cultivating Equity at The Basilica" parish-wide zoome helped her grow in her faith and deeepen her listening ministry.

 

Lenten practices:

This Lent, some parish members are sharing their Lenten practices and stories with us. For Julissa Medrano, a parishioner who currently lives in Texas, the livestreamed liturgies keep her nourished and connected to her spiritual home at The Basilica. She also shares how the livestreamed Holy Week and Easter liturgies were an important part of the sacred final days with her mother before her passing in April 2020.

Xander Broeffle shares his experiences with our Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) process, plus his Lent and Easter observations, first as a candidate joining the Catholic church and, later, as a sponsor for other candidates and catechumens.
