Wendy Cichanski Caduff
Wendy joined The Basilica staff in 2018. Prior to joining the staff of The Basilica, Wendy served in parish ministry for 19 years, including Christ Church Newman Center in St. Cloud, MN and Sacred Heart and Holy Trinity parishes in Owatonna, MN. Wendy holds a MA degree in Pastoral Ministry from St. John’s University School of Theology/Seminary in Collegeville, MN and a BS degree in education from St. Cloud State University. She has been formed by strong women in the Benedictine tradition and by the work of feminist theologians. Embracing her baptismal call and rooted in Catholic Social Thought, she finds it a joy and privilege to serve in ministry. In her position as Coordinator of Caring Ministries at The Basilica, Wendy works closely with the pastoral care needs of the parish through the Emmaus Ministry, Prayer Line, Prayer Shawls, Funerals and Grief Support, Communion to homebound parishioners, and the Crossroads group. Wendy is married and the mother of two young children, a testament in love to the power of adoption! She treasures her family and the gift of motherhood. Wendy enjoys writing for the award winning publication, Give Us This Day published by Liturgical Press, as well as her ability to notice and write about God’s hand at work in the ordinariness of everyday life. Wendy enjoys book clubs, yoga, wild birds and perennial gardens, and spending time near woods and water.
